Perth Study Group, WA (Kyoshitsu)

The Matsubayashi-ryu Perth Study Group was established by Sensei Hannah Kuilenburg, Nidan (2nd Dan), after relocating from Kalgoorlie, WA, where she studied at the Kalgoorlie Karate Academy. Hannah now runs a study group, and studies under Kancho Reece Cummings (ACT), and is supported by Senpai(s) Sean (studied at the ACT Dojo), and Lochie (studied at the ACT Dojo) who also now reside in WA. 

Over the course of her martial arts journey, Hannah has studied a number of karate styles as she often relocated for work. She has now been dedicated to Matsubayashi-ryu for an extended period and has travelled to Okinawa—the birthplace of karate—to deepen her understanding, and has trained with internationally respected instructors, including Sensei Toshimitsu Arakaki during his visits to Australia. She has also completed extensive in-house training at the Kodokan Cummings Karate Dojo (ACT).

The group continues this tradition, providing a place for dedicated students in Perth to explore authentic karate in a focused and supportive environment.
